Privacy Policy.

Last updated: 16 July 2026

This website, playonwa.org (the “Site”), is operated by Play On WA, a social-welfare advocacy effort organized under Section 501(c)(4) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and based in the United States. Play On WA works to promote a fact-based understanding of social casino games and balanced regulation in Washington State. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to being transparent about the limited information this Site handles.

This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this Site only, not to any third-party website we link to.

1. Information we collect

This is an informational website. We do not offer accounts, sign-ups, or online forms, so we collect very little about you.

Information you choose to give us. If you email us (for example, at hello@playonwa.org), we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Information collected automatically. If you accept analytics cookies (see section 3), we may receive limited technical information, such as:

  • Your IP address (which may indicate approximate, city-level location);
  • Your browser type, device, and operating system;
  • The pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and how you reached the Site.

Our website host may also keep standard server logs for security and reliability.

2. How we use your information

We use this limited information to:

  • Respond to questions or messages you send us;
  • Understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can improve its content and performance;
  • Keep the Site secure and operating properly.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Cookies and analytics

Analytics are off by default. We do not load Google Analytics or set any analytics cookies, and no analytics data is sent to Google, until you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics to understand in aggregate how visitors use the Site (such as which pages are viewed and where traffic comes from). If you decline, no analytics run and no analytics cookies are set. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and declining does not affect your ability to use the Site.

To change your choice later, clear this site’s data in your browser (which re-shows the banner) or contact us.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us run the Site — for example, our website host and, if you have accepted analytics, our analytics provider (Google). These providers may use the information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Aggregate analytics data may be retained on an anonymized basis.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
  • Ask us to correct or delete your information;
  • Opt out of analytics cookies (see section 3);
  • Opt out of any emails you have asked to receive from us.

To make a request, email hello@playonwa.org. We will respond consistently with applicable law.

7. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No website can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep the Site and any information we hold safe.

8. Children’s privacy

This Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

9. Third-party links

The Site may link to other websites, including the International Social Games Association (i-sga.org). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites; please review their own policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
